With LTDP-aware DHCP server, Lantech EN50155 switches can discover the current IP addresses and enable the switch to exchange the IP address when any car is merged. LTDP can also react on the link failure or node failure to keep the original IP range and maintain the remaining network function until the replacement is in place. It can also keep the config file when switch is swapped.

HARTING Russia: A reliable partner for our customers – for 25 years

The certificate of incorporation bears a very well-known name: President Vladimir Putin himself, as Deputy Mayor of Saint Petersburg, once signed the document for HARTING’s Russian subsidiary. That was in 1993. Today, the Technology Group on the Neva celebrates its 25th anniversary.

In addition to the subsidiary’s headquarters in Saint Petersburg, there are other sales offices in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, and a production facility in Yekaterinburg. There, 35 employees produce all the cabling for train cars from Ural Locomotive, including jumper cables. Overall, HARTING Russia boasts some 90 employees.

"My father made a bold and correct decision in 1993," said CEO Philip Harting at the anniversary event in Saint Petersburg. Russia is a very important market for HARTING and has significant potential. In his speech to invited guests and employees, the CEO emphasised the country’s positive economic development and strong growth impetus, which had improved by 88 places in the World Bank’s Doing Business Index in the space of a few years, while experiencing a boom in the digital sector. Philip Harting stated that HARTING Russia will be striving to expand its production in the coming years and win additional customers.

Harting thanked the company’s numerous customers for their, in some cases, years-long trust, also thanking their employees for their dedication, which had been decisive for the positive developments at the company: "We’re partners and trailblazers of Industry 4.0 and are working with our customers to develop innovative solutions for the Russian market, create jobs and thus contribute to this country."

UK ist Partnerland der ConCarExpo 2018

Großbritannien strebt eine Vorreiterrolle im mobilen Wandel an. Im Länderpavillon der ConCarExpo 2018 präsentieren Unternehmen des Partnerlandes Real-Life Demos autonomer Technologien. Die internationale VDI-Fachmesse startet am 27. – 28. Juni in Berlin.

Das Vereinigte Königreich treibt den mobilen Wandel mit Tempo voran. Bereits 2021 sollen auf britischen Straßen autonome Fahrzeuge unterwegs sein. Die Regierung investiert in den Ausbau von Ladestationen und das highspeed Internets 5G. Auch Unternehmen, die an Künstlicher Intelligenz arbeiten, werden gefördert. Großbritannien, das Partnerland der ConCarExpo 2018, präsentiert im UK Country Pavillon unter anderem Real-Life Demonstrationen autonomer Technologien. Auch Finnland, Partnerland der ConCarExpo 2017, ist wieder mit einem eigenen Pavillon vertreten.

Partnerland Großbritannien

Die britische Regierung setzt auf eine Führungsrolle in der automobilen Revolution und unterstützt die Entwicklung selbstfahrender Autos mit hohen Investitionen. Das Centre for Connected Car and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV) ist eine 2015 eigens gegründete Regierungsorganisation für die Förderung von vernetztem und automatisiertem Fahren. Die Fördergelder der Organisation unterstützen mehr als 50 Projekte von über 150 Partnern. Autobauer, Universitäten, Versicherer sowie Forschungsinstitutionen profitieren von der Unterstützung durch das CCAV und treiben so die Entwicklung auf diesem Gebiet voran. Das CCAV ist im UK Country Pavillon der ConCarExpo 2018 vertreten.

Im Länderpavillon erwarten die Besucher außerdem die Prototypen der Autobauer in Aktion. So präsentiert der britische Automobilhersteller Westfield sein selbstfahrendes POD (Pod on Demand). Der autonome Shuttle-Bus ist bereits seit 2011 erfolgreich am Londonder Flughafen Heathrow in Betrieb und fährt als Transfer Bus die Terminals ab.

Die Skandinavier entwickeln neue Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien für die Fahrzeuge von Morgen. „Finnland bietet der Automobilindustrie einiges mehr als nur Schnee und Eis für den Wintertest,“ sagt Mikko Koskue, Programm Direktor bei Business Finlands Intelligent Vehicle and Mobility Programm und Organisator des Pavillons. Auf der ConcarExpo 2018 präsentiert der Country Pavillon eine Auswahl finnischer Firmen, die Software- und Hardwarekonzepte sowie neue Servicelösungen vorstellen.

Nicht nur die Fahrzeuge, sondern auch die Städte müssen künftig smarte Technik einsetzen und vernetzt werden. Dies ist auch Thema der ConCarExpo 2018 Pressekonferenz, mit dem Titel: Urban Mobility – Autonomous Driving, Connected Cars and the city of tomorrow: Are Driverless Vehicles forcing cities to become smart…?“ am ersten Veranstaltungstag.
