Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2019: Online Show Preview offers overview of fastener & fixing technologies at the world’s leading trade fair for the industry

In just a few weeks, the 8th International Exhibition for the Fastener and Fixing Industry will take place from 19 – 21 March 2019 in halls 1, 3 and 5 of the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds in Germany. With the new Online Show Preview, visitors are now able to get an overview of the large variety of fastener and fixing technologies on display at the trade fair this year. Hundreds of exhibiting companies provide detailed information about their products, technological innovations and clever solutions for the fastener and fixing industry. The ticket shop is already open, entrance tickets can be purchased on the exhibition website.

More than 960 exhibitors from 44 countries will present latest innovations as well as conventional systems from all areas of fastener and fixing technology at Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2019. Besides Germany, the biggest exhibiting country, major European exhibitor countries are Italy, Great Britain, France, Turkey, the Netherlands and Spain. The majority of Asian exhibiting companies are from Taiwan, China and India. The trade fair once again takes place in halls 1, 3 and 5 of the Stuttgart Exhibition Grounds in Germany. The net exhibition space expands to around 22,000 square meters, a growth of 6% compared to 2017. Last time, 11,709 trade visitors from 91 countries attended the event.

The comprehensive Online Show Preview, with detailed information on many exhibitors and their products, is now available on the exhibition website. In preparation for their visit, users will be able to sort entries by product categories to discover their personal highlights of this year’s exhibition. Visitors can search exhibitor profiles including products and services presented at Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2019 and create their personalised version of the show preview. Another option to prepare for a visit to Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2019 is the Online Show Planner, a tool that allows visitors to compile not only their individual exhibitor list sorted according to product categories, but also a personalised hall plan. The Fastener Fair Stuttgart visitor profile includes wholesalers, dealers, suppliers and manufacturers from various industry sectors, such as construction, automotive, electronic and electrical goods, metal products or furniture manufacturing.

The leading trade fair for the fastener and fixing industry presents new developments from all areas of fastener and fixing technologies. The exhibition profile covers industrial fasteners and fixings, construction fixings, assembly and installation systems, fastener manufacturing technology, storage and factory equipment, as well as corresponding services. New in 2019, there will be a special area for bonding solutions in Hall 1, the “Bonding and Adhesive Technology Area”.

The opening hours of Fastener Fair Stuttgart 2019 are on Tuesday, 19 March 2019, and Wednesday, 20 March 2019, from 9am to 6pm, as well as Thursday, 21 March 2019, from 9am to 3pm. Strong industry support for ANDTEX

The first Southeast Asia Nonwovens and Disposable Hygiene Technology Exhibition & Conference (ANDTEX) will be organized by E.J. Krause & Associates. The three-day event takes place at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC) in Thailand from May 15th to 17th, 2019.

ELIV 2019: Industry meeting for experts of vehicle electronics

The exchange between vehicle manufacturers and suppliers in the context of the ELIV Congress is increasingly becoming a must in order to capture innovations, developments and problems at an early stage. PIAE 2019 – Tradition meets innovation

PIAE 2019 presents itself in a new guise. The traditional VDI Plastics Congress will present its completely new, revised event concept from 3 to 4 April 2019 in Mannheim: More content, interactive program items and modern entertainment.

Relying on proven traditions, opening up new space for innovations and new products – The international VDI Plastics Congress has experienced, accompanied and addressed numerous changes in the automobile in its more than fourty-year history. In order to take current developments into account and always stay up to date, the VDI Wissensforum has fundamentally redesigned the structure of the congress in Mannheim.

Conference and Showcase for Digital Accessibility

The need for accessible technology to ensure people of all abilities to have access to a digital life is paramount. The possibilities of innovative inclusion technologies, above all, are a chance for society. This was the key theme of the first annual M-Enabling Forum Europe, held September 27, 2018 in the Congress Center of Messe Düsseldorf.

The conference and showcase was organized by, global exhibition management company E.J. Krause & Associates and The Global Initiative for Inclusive Information and Communication Technology (G3ict), an advocacy initiative launched under the auspices of the United Nations to promote digital accessibility

More than 150 conference guests and over 20 sponsors and exhibitors participated in the M-Enabling Forum. Participants and attendees came from 14 countries including: Austria, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Norway, Russia, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.

Representatives from organizations of persons with disabilities, technology companies, regulatory bodies and institutions gathered for a day of thought-provoking panel discussions, innovative exhibition displays in the foyer showcase and intensive networking.

Inmaculada Placencia Porrero from the European Commission served as the opening keynote speaker. In her remarks, Ms Placencia Porrero pointed out that there is progress in the converging European ecosystem, she highlighted how accessibility needs to become mainstream and a major goal in closing the gap between persons with disabilities and the rest of the population when it comes to employment.

During the following panels, accessibility experts addressed how technology can improve independent living, the future of mobile accessibility and how common standards make it possible to cross borders and access technology in the same way at the same time.

The closing panel of the day discussed how smart technology is an engine of prosperity for all society. The key take-away message was that inclusion does not only benefit persons with disabilities, but also represents a chance for the whole society.

Digital accessibilty should play a key role in tech innovation. The issues discussed at the M-Enabling Forum Europe were both important and impactful. We saw a very successful launch with the first edition. The overwhelming positive feedback from our participants is encouraging us for the 2019 edition“ stated Kara Krause, Vice President, Marketing & Communications of E.J. Krause & Associates, Inc.

Research in Central and Eastern Europe: networks for automotive Innovation

– Universities in Central and Eastern Europe are working on ambitious projects for the future’s mobillity

Through their universities, the countries of Central and Eastern Europe are positioning themselves in the new value-added chains of global automobile production. The educational network CEEPUS, which includes 15 countries in the region, is seeking intensive communication with the international automotive industry for ambitious research and development projects at universities. In the automotive trade fair "Automotive Hungary" from 17 to 18 October 2018, edubiz will be presenting the CEEPUS initiative "AutoAuto" and selected projects on the future of mobility.

Central and Eastern Europe has become a hub for the global automotive industry. Only in the four countries of Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, German manufacturers produced almost 1.7 million vehicles in 2017 – almost 17 percent of total German production abroad. The countries of the region want to reposition themselves to the changes in the value chains, which are emerging with electric mobility, the networking of vehicles and autonomous driving, to avoid a role as an "extended workbench". "Hungary wants to be an innovation hub for the automotive industry. For this we have all the skills in the country, "says Prof. László Palkovics, Hungary’s Minister of Innovation and Technology. Palkovics opens an international keynote conference on October 17, 2018 at the country’s most important automotive trade fair, Automotive Hungary. Representatives of OEMs, suppliers and research will talk about "Innovation – the driving force behind the automotive industry".

In Budapest, therefore, the educational network CEEPUS seeks dialogue with the international automotive industry. It has also invited the universities, which are working on research projects on the future of the vehicle and mobility throughout the region, to Budapest to attend the conference and take advantage of networking opportunities with industry. "We want the impulses coming from research and teaching in the region to reach the industrial companies very quickly," says Elisabeth Sorantin, CEEPUS’ secretary-general. The dialogue format edubiz, which took place in Budapest for the first time in 2017, aims to stimulate the exchange and networking between the education sector and companies.

AutoAuto: a research network for autonomous driving

Already on October 16, 2018, a transnational coordination meeting of the CEEPUS network "AutoAuto" will take place in Budapest. Its focus is in the field of artificial intelligence and autonomous driving. "We expect an expanded potential for innovation through closer and cross-border coordinated cooperation of the various subprojects", Elisabeth Sorantin describes the initiative.

AutoAuto’s partners currently include the coordinating University of Maribor, Graz University of Technology, Budapest BME, ELTE, the University of Montenegro, universities in Gliwice, Poznan and Krakow, as well as Novi Sad, Lubljana and Zagreb. The coordination of research projects should also accelerate the transfer of knowledge into teaching and in the respective "ecosystems" of the industry. All partners of the network already cultivate intensive cooperation with each other and are involved in European research and funding projects. CEEPUS also wants to support the academic and personal exchange between the individual universities.

edubiz: Dialogue between education sector and companies

The implementation of the conference and matchmaking format edubiz in Budapest is a joint initiative of CEEPUS and the Stuttgart-based media company local global. In Germany, local global has organized edubiz events in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe since 2010. Themes were each time the resources that the education sector can provide for the international growth of companies. For 2019, partners are planning an edubiz premiere at the world’s leading trade fair for production technology, the Hannover Messe.

Automotive Hungary is a trade fair of Hungexpo in Budapest with over 200 exhibitors from 10 countries and around 10,000 trade visitors. One highlight of the trade fair is "Automotive – Techtogether" – a technical "hackathon" in which students will develop projects during the three fair’s days and present them to a specialist’s jury.

M-Enabling Forum Europe at REHACARE 2108

M-Enabling Forum Europe takes place at the Congress Center of Messe Düsseldorf on September, 27th 2018. The high-level event is organized by E.J.Krause & Associates, Inc. und G3ict. LogiMAT to fill 10 halls for first time

LogiMAT, which returns to Stuttgart in February 2019, is already almost fully booked nearly seven months before its doors open. Hall 2 will be integrated for the first time, expanding the overall exhibit space by 7,500 square meters. LogiMAT will fill all 10 halls of Messe Stuttgart, including the gallery in Hall 1, to occupy a total space of 120,000 square meters. Organizers expect over 1,600 international exhibitors, who together will present a unique diversity of “intralogistics from the source.” Over 170 first-time exhibitors have already registered.

LogiMAT will return stronger than ever in early 2019 to reassert its role as the world’s leading information platform and “working” trade show—where the intralogistics industry goes to do business.

The event will extend into Hall 2 for the first time, integrating another nearly 5,000 square meters to accommodate the strong demand for more exhibit space. One of the focuses here will be “Innovation Made in Germany,” a shared booth where start-ups will present innovative products and solutions in the areas of distribution, material flow, and software/IT.

Toyota Material Handling Deutschland will also be on hand alongside its affiliate Vanderlande Industries, occupying 600 square meters as an anchor exhibitor. In addition, there are well-known companies such as Helge Nyberg, AutoStore and Itoh Denki in Hall 2.

Another highlight in Hall 2 will be TradeWorld, the Professional Platform for Trade Processes. TradeWorld exhibitors will showcase products and solutions for the digitization of e-commerce and omnichannel trade processes while experts offer presentations on cutting-edge issues of trade logistics in the TradeWorld expert forum. In this way, TradeWorld demonstrates the unique synergies between trade and logistics processes within LogiMAT.

Exhibitors from the fields of plant engineering and conveyance technology will be on hand as usual in Halls 1, 3, 5, and 7. Here, too, LogiMAT has responded to the growing interest of exhibitors by extending the exhibit space into the gallery in Hall 1.

Forklift trucks and accessories, driverless transport systems, battery and energy management solutions, crane and hoist technology, and cargo securement will be located once again in Halls 7, 9, and 10.

The broad field of packaging, packaging systems, and containers will return to Halls 4 and 6, right next to the area for identification technology and RFID along the southern flank of Messe Stuttgart. Intralogistics software solutions will be showcased in Halls 6 and 8.

EuroBLECH 2018 rewards 5 businesses in this year’s “Step into the digital reality” online competition

For the third time, outstanding organisations and companies in the sheet metal working industry are invited to enter the EuroBLECH 2018 online competition in five categories, now open at Recognition will be given for best practice, innovation, excellence and outstanding performance. Five winners, one in each category, will be selected by professionals in the sheet metal working industry via an online voting, starting in September.

This year’s “Step into the digital reality” competition engages the businesses in digital and automated processes. The five categories stand for late-breaking issues in the digital context of the sheet metal working industry: The first category ‘Digital Transformation’ is open to businesses with excellent ability in applying smart manufacturing methods. The second one, ’25 EuroBLECH shows’, will select the funniest EuroBLECH story, either from visitors or exhibitors who participated in EuroBLECH over its long history. ‘Cyber Security’ as the third category highlights the importance of secure data exchange within a production environment. The fourth category is ‘Best Start-up” and will reward new businesses for their outstanding performance. Pioneers in lightweight and component design for sheet metal working are invited to enter the fifth and last category, “E-Mobility”.

The five succeeding businesses will be formally presented with an award and certificate during a ceremony at EuroBLECH 2018. The winners will also be announced on the EuroBLECH website.

The online competition is now open to all companies or organisations from all over the world in the sheet metal working industry if they match the requirements of at least one category and they are setting an extraordinary example in one of these categories.

The closing date for entries is 31 August 2018. After that, the entries will be published on the EuroBLECH website and the voting will start. The sheet metal working community can select their favourite entry in each category by an online voting system, with the voting closing on 30th September. At the award ceremony during EuroBLECH 2018 on 24 October, the winners will officially be announced and receive their prize. Cranab at the International Interforst 2018 fair

At the event held every four years in Munich, Germany, the Swedish Cranab Group will be participating from 18 to 22 July with a stand of 630 m2. At the fair the group will present the latest innovations from its range of forestry products and the new models of cranes specifically designed for installation on trucks for forestry use and for handling recycled materials.

The Cranab group, composed of the four brands, Cranab, Slagkraft, Vimek and Bracke Forest, will all be waiting for you at stand FS.912A/1 to let you discover the professional forestry equipment, synonymous with quality and highly advanced technology in all operations and working conditions.

With over 70,000 square metres of exhibition space and 451 exhibitors, 289 German and 162 international, from 27 countries including Austria, Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland, Interforst represents an industrial chain with considerable economic strength in Germany. Almost 128,000 companies belonging to the forestry and wood sector, with more than 1.1 million employees generating an annual turnover of about €180 billion.

The Cranab group offers various solutions for companies involved in managing forest environments. This year, the Swedish company (based in Vindeln) has already presented a new model from this series at the IFAT trade fair (dedicated to renewable technologies) in Munich: the TZ12.2 R crane with a reach of 7,7 metres. At Interforst, Cranab’s technological and industrial efforts continue with presenting a new and bigger crane that will take the company into a new phase in the development towards a complete program.

These are the main features of the new model:

  • Two extensions crane with max reach of 10.2 m.
  • A base stabiliser with a 5.2 m spread.

The aim is to offer the market, step by step, a complete system for typical operations in the handling of recycled and forestry matter.
